Dragon Ball Legends: Discover Your Power Level
When classic anime series are translated into something, like a Hollywood movie or a video game, it could either result into something absolutely wonderful or tragic. If the original creators are involved, most of the time it becomes a success; like how Masashi Kishimoto, the author of Naruto, was partly involved in some content of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution. In the super popular and well-loved and known anime Dragon Ball, there have been a couple of both successful and flop renditions. One that comes to mind is the 2009 Hollywood movie Dragon Ball Evolution, which by all means, is hated by the entire Dragon Ball fandom. It was not supported by anyone, including the maker Akira Toriyama.
Then waltzes this game by Bandai – Dragon Ball Legends. One quick look and anyone will see how the game was expertly crafted by everyone involved, including Akira Toriyama who penned the main character Shallot. The result? A simple, fun, and well-loved game by the entire fandom. The verdicts are all consistently ringing true – Dragon Ball Legends is probably the best Dragon Ball fighting RPG on mobile. Most will find anime fans as overly critical to the point of being unforgiving. So, if most people are giving a thumbs up, then we all might as well take a look.
On the Apple App Store, Dragon Ball Legends enjoys 4.8 stars from almost 400 thousand reviews; a staggering number considering the circumstances. On Google Play Store, on the other hand, the rating is 4.5 from a million reviewers! This reinforces the fact that when a game is made not merely just for fan service but truly because of passion, then it will result in magical and exceptional reviews. Obviously, that is the case with Dragon Ball Legends.
When taking into account the creation of a well-loved series by a lot of people, the developers must always look at the zeal of the fan base, the canon material, and of course the fact that this series is something that millions upon millions of people grew up with. A lot of people would know this series by heart and any spin-off or new creations based on the game will be vulnerable to scrutiny. All of these were thankfully considered in Dragon Ball Legends, resulting in a well-rounded game of action, simplicity, and fun.
